Dr. Ozaki performs brow lift and forehead lift to raise eyebrows and reduce ridges and furrows on the forehead, thus creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. The brow lift will make you look more refreshed and less tired. This procedure can be performed alone or in conjunction with other surgeries.
A browlift can be done in one of three methods: endoscopic, hairline, and coronal. The endoscopic browlift uses newer techniques to allow us to perform a brow lift through smaller incisions hidden within the hair. The swelling is usually less and recovery faster with this technique.
The coronal brow lift is performed by creating an incision across the top of the scalp, from the top of one ear to the other. The forehead and brows are elevated and excess skin is removed. A portion of the muscles used for “scowling” is also removed to reduce wrinkling in this area. The hairline brow lift is used for those with high hairlines, as this technique will lower one’s hairline.

Your insurance company may pay for part or all of the cost of surgery, if a portion your vision is blocked by your eyelids. Since every insurance carrier has different policies, it is recommended that you check with your own insurance company to determine the level of coverage.
Antibiotics will be prescribed for several days following your surgery. Sutures are generally removed or will desolve within one week. Swelling and some bruising may occur, which should subside within a few weeks. Our doctors will prescribe ice compresses to reduce swelling. Women will be allowed to use eye cosmetics up to two weeks after surgery. You can proceed with your normal daily activities within 1-2 weeks. You will require several follow up visits after your surgery.
